Diago How has adjusting to life in the UK been for you? Which are the primary distinctions you’ve observed?
I believe it’s the fervor, the way people play and experience the game here. emotional fervor and the desire to attend the match. stadiums full. It’s unbelievable to me. Playing in venues like that, like Old Trafford, is an incredible experience.
When you first heard the word “Manchester United” associated with yours, what was going through your mind?
When you hear something like that, all you can think is, “Wow, okay, that’s for me.” I was a player for Portugal’s top squad. We participated in the Champions League, which is a terrific league. Having that kind of experience, in my opinion, brings one a step closer to playing in the major leagues.
Is it similar to starting a new school when you join a new club like Manchester United?
Sure. It was a fresh existence, a new cycle. because once you get here, there are a lot of disparities between the life I had in Portugal and the life I have here. It’s an entirely new universe. For me, it represented a fresh start. Naturally, I apply all I learnt in Portugal and Porto, which has greatly aided me in achieving my goals, and I just keep working and developing.
Must you win the approval of your new teammates? You have to want to be liked by them.
Naturally, you want to get along with everyone and be a good teammate when you join a new team, but I believe that we should all just make an effort to be ourselves and not attempt to pretend to be someone else or fake something. since I’m just me at the end of the day. I think I did a fantastic job of trying to be who I am. Yes, I believe that everyone is aware of who I am and that I make a decent coworker.
Which players did a very good job of introducing themselves to you?
Yes, the majority of them. While some people don’t communicate much or simply have different personalities, the majority were excellent. Because I had Portuguese players, Portuguese staff, a Portuguese coach, and Brazilian guys, I believe it was a good adaption. Thus, it wasn’t hard for me. The English guys didn’t have to be that far away from me because I think I speak decent English; we could communicate with each other.
How long ago did you begin studying English?
during class. In Portugal, we begin studying English at seven, eight, nine, ten, and older. That’s it, too. as well as TV. [Giggles]
Are there mоments when yоu feel cоmpelled tо watch sоmething in the changing rооm?
Yes, constantly. Alternatively, a new game has been released that we all need to play in multiplayer. Or Netflix has a movie available. The bird cage was the most recent. Bird box is the talk of the town. It’s your typical locker room. People occasionally assume that a club like this has a different changing room or that we are all focused on our work and don’t converse with one another. Naturally, we concentrate, but we also need to have fun and relax. It’s an excellent changing area.

I start listening to more rap and Lil Baby now that I’m in England. Jesse is a big fan of Lil Baby, so Lil Baby all day. We have a few DJs here.
