Five Manchester United players have come under fire from Gary Neville for “whinging and sleeping” during their embarrassing Carabao Cup loss on Wednesday night.

After Man City easily defeated them at Old Trafford on Sunday, Newcastle eliminated the Red Devils from the competition yesterday night, causing them to lose 3-0 at home for the second time in three days.

Eddie Howe’s team scored goals through Miguel Almiron, Lewis Hall, and Joe Willock, and it was their second goal that encapsulated Erik ten Hag’s disorganized defense.

Newcastle took full advantage of the United players’ mistake when Miguel Almiron found Joe Willock behind the defence. Maguire headed Willock’s cross into the path of Hall, who volleyed the ball into the bottom right corner.
